Think Pink! Cute Hair and Fun Nails to Keep Away the Winter Blues

No matter where you live, January and February are nothing like April or May. Flowers aren’t blooming and the sky is gray far more often than it is clear and bright. Keep away the Winter blues with these fun ideas for cute hair and nails courtesy of current trends and celebs like reality star and lifestyle blogger Lauren Conrad!

The Winter blues seem to inspire people to change up their hair. I am going to get my color dialed up this week, my co-worker just went red after a long run with blonde and reality star Lauren Conrad Tweeted a picture of her cute new pink bun. It’s fun to mix things up when the weather is dreary and our moods are often more down than up. I am debating between warm lowlights and bright highlights. Decisions, decisions!

My other co-worker is sporting some fun new nails! Nothing is better than a fresh haircut and color with some pretty nails to bring attention to your new ring or bracelet.

She started by painting her full nail with Essie’s Smokin’ Hot shade. She then created a curved tip over that color base with the super-cute slate gray hue of Essie’s Chinchilly. The result?

Though her nails aren’t quite as upbeat as pink hair, they are definitely a more trendy take on a French manicure. The colors complement one another so well, and the result is a look that is appropriate for any creative office. Afraid of the dark? Try Chinchilly with pink tips! Pink goes so well with gray. It’s definitely one of my favorite combinations. My well-worn zip-up sweatshirt I’ve had since the early days of college is a pink number with gray arms. Don’t judge! It’s definitely a cute way to bring femininity to an otherwise casual look.

I am also loving pink styles currently available from Lulu’s, like this piece that imitates a thin, floaty chiffon. I also love the fun casual vibe of this pretty pink and pale brown dress. Sarah Jessica Parker loves Halston Heritage, and so do I! I also love this Free People dress, easily dressed up or down. I would pair it with strappy sandals or wedges come Spring with some wrist bling. I can’t help but think that any woman would look lovely in this Tadashi Shoji number!

Are you fan of pink? Do you gravitate towards pink nails, dresses, lipstick…or even bubblegum hair? Let us know in the COMMENTS!

Until next time!

Emilie
